What lies “Under the SEA”?
Under the SEA is a series of webinars featuring roundtable discussions with performing arts practitioners from 11 countries in Southeast Asia. As well as touching base with our neighbours about the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, we want to take this opportunity to learn more deeply about each country’s current performing arts landscape, what this pandemic has revealed about their respective countries, and what art-makers envision for the future. We hope to bring into sharper focus personal stories of people in the performing arts in the Southeast Asian region that may shed light on the larger issues at this unusual time.
Under the SEA มีอะไร
Under the SEA คือ Webinar series เปิดวงสนทนากับนักการละครจาก 11 ประเทศใน SEA ว่าท่ามกลางวิกฤติโรคระบาดนี้ เพื่อนของเราเป็นยังไงกันบ้าง
แน่นอนว่าวิกฤตินี้ไม่เพียงทำให้เราเห็นปัญหา แต่จากบทสนทนาทั้ง 11 ประเทศจะช่วยให้เราเห็นลักษณะของ performing arts scene ที่ต่างกัน ไม่ว่าจะเป็นนโยบายการรับมือ การช่วยเหลือจากรัฐ ไปจนถึง trend ใหม่ๆ ที่เกิดขึ้นในวงการศิลปะ
ความวิตกกังวล, inspiration, การพลิกวิกฤติเป็นโอกาส ฯลฯ หลายร้อยเรื่องราวในชุมชน performing arts จะถูกพูดถึง ใน “พื้นที่แห่งการแบ่งปัน” Under the SEA นี้ BIPAM เชื่อว่าการรวบรวมประวัติศาสตร์ในระดับบุคคล จะสามารถสะท้อนภาพใหญ่ของสังคมได้เสมอ และทำให้มองออกไปยังภายภาคหน้าได้ชัดเจนขึ้น

Join us for these Zoom webinars every Saturday at 2pm. Almost all the talks and Q&As will be conducted in English, and simultaneous English to Thai translation will be provided for all sessions.
