“We are like insects, they can step on us as they please '', a quote from Kam Nainual, a stateless Dara-ang woman from Pang Dang Nok Village. She was one of the 48 people arrested in 2004 for trespassing a restricted forest area. The incident prompted her to question her violated human dignity, and to stand up to fight as a woman and as a minority that has been marginalized and oppressed alongside several organizations. She went through a journey of self growth, from illiteracy to studying in the field of laws and human rights. Currently, village committee, as well as chairwoman of the Indigenous Women's Network of Thailand (IWNT).


“ เราเหมือนแมลงวันตัวนึง เขาจะเหยียบย่ำยังไงก็ได้ " เสียงของนางคำ นายนวล หญิงชาวดาระอั้ง คนไร้สัญชาติ บ้านปางแดงนอก 1 ใน 48 คนที่ถูกจับเมื่อปี 2547 ด้วยข้อหาบุกรุกป่าสงวน จากเหตุการ์ครั้งนั้น ทำให้เธอลุกขึ้นมาตั้งคำถามถึงศักดิ์ศรีความเป็นคนที่ถูกเหยียบย่ำ ลุกขึ้นมาต่อสู้ในฐานะผู้หญิง ในฐานะชาติพันธ์ที่ถูกกีดกัน เลือกปฎิบัติ ร่วมกับองค์กรเครือข่ายต่างๆ ลุกขึ้นมาพัฒนาตัวเอง จากอ่านไม่ออกเขียนไม่ได้ สู่การศึกษาหลักกฏหมายและหลักสิทธิมนุษยชน ปัจจุบัน คำดำรงตำแหน่งกรรมการหมู่บ้าน ประธานกลุ่มสตรี ประธานเครือข่ายผู้หญิงชนเผ่าแห่งประเทศไทย
