He is currently a professor at the Faculty of Political Science at Thammasat University and used to hold the position of Vice Dean in the department of Academic and Research Affairs and the position of Principal of Direk Jayanama Research Center at the Faculty of Political Science, Thammasat University. Currently he is a member of the committee of The Foundation for the Promotion of Social Sciences and Humanities Textbooks Project, the committee of The Foundation for Democracy and Development Studies (FDDS). He is also a member of the department of publication at Asian Democracy Review and Thammasat Review of Economic and Social Policy.


ปัจจุบันเป็นอาจารย์ประจำคณะรัฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัย ธรรมศาสตร์ และอดีตรองคณบดีฝ่ายวิจัยและบริการ วิชาการ และอดีตผู้อำนวยการศูนย์วิจัยดิเรก ชัยนาม คณะรัฐศาสตร์ มหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ปี 2563 ได้รับรางวัลผลงานวิจัยดีเด่นจากสภาวิจัยแห่งชาติ (วช.) และ ปี 2564 ได้รับรางวัลผลงานวิจัยดีเด่น สาขาสังคมศาสตร์ จากมหาวิทยาลัยธรรมศาสตร์ ปัจจุบันเป็นกรรมการมูลนิธิโครงการตำราสังคมศาสตร์และ มนุษยศาสตร์, กรรมการมูลนิธิเพื่อการศึกษาประชาธิปไตย และการพัฒนา, และกองบรรณาธิการวารสาร Asian Democracy Review, และ Thammasat Review of Economic and Social Policy
