Thanom is an artistic activist and a culturalist worker. He was born during the cold war and is of Laotian descent. He completed his higher education in the field of Art Criticism and Art History. He worked as a media critic since the end of the 80s and stopped in 2014 because of Prayut Chan-o-cha’s military coup. As his roles in arts and cultures grew more prominent, he moved away from the heart of the city to areas along the Khong - Chi - Mun rivers or in the north eastern areas of Thailand in order to travel to the origins of Plebeian aesthetics which is used in critique and resistance.


เป็นนักปฎิบัติการทางศิลปะและวัฒนธรรม กำเนิดในถิ่นลุ่มน้ำมูนช่วงสงครามเย็น กำพืดและรสนิยมมีความเป็นส่วยผสมลาวตามถิ่นกำเนิด เขาเข้าสู่ระบบการศึกษาในสายการผลิตทางการวิจารณ์และทฤษฎีศิลปะ(Art Criticism & Art Theory ) พร้อมกับการปฎิบัติการทางการวิพากษ์วิจารณ์บนหน้าสื่อมาตั้งแต่ปลายทศวรรษ 2520 และหยุดการนำเสนอข้อเขียน บทความทางการวิจารณ์ศิลปะเมื่อเกิดการรัฐประหารของพลเอก ประยุทธ์ จันทร์โอชา ปี พ.ศ.2557 ปัจจุบันและอนาคตที่บทบาทของการปฎิบัติการทางศิลปะและวัฒนธรรมมีความเข้มข้น มีลักษณะเฉพาะพื้นที่มากขึ้น จึงหลีกหนีออกจากศูนย์กลางมหานครมุ่งสู่ฐานที่มั่นในแถบถิ่นลุ่มน้ำโขง-ชี-มูน หรือภาคอีสานเพื่อจาริกตามรอยวิถีทางของขบฎผู้มีบุญ อันเป็นที่มาของแนวคิดสุนทรียสามัญชน(Plebeian aesthetic)ที่ใช้กระบวนการแนวคิดวิพากษ์วิจารณ์และการต่อต้าน(Critique and Resistance )เป็นเครื่องมือในปฎิบัติการทางศิลปะและวัฒนธรรม
