โครงการความร่วมมือออนไลน์นี้ จัดโดย BIPAM และ Tokyo Festival ภายใต้ Tokyo Festival Farm ในกรอบการทำงานของ “Lab” ซึ่งเป็นแพลตฟอร์มสำหรับการทำงานที่เน้นกระบวนการในการทำงานระหว่างศิลปินหลากหลายประเทศ ต่างที่มาและทำงานหลากหลายสาขา เพื่อมาทำงานรีเสิร์ชและพัฒนางานร่วมกัน เพื่อเป็นอีกก้าวในการทำงานข้ามศาสตร์และการทำกิจกรรมของศิลปินระหว่างประเทศ ในปีนี้ โครงการ The City & The City ได้เปิดรับสมัครและคัดเลือกศิลปินจากฝั่งกรุงเทพฯ และ โตเกียว เพื่อมาแลกเปลี่ยนการค้นคว้า และ กลับมาค้นพบเมืองและร่วมมองไปยังอนาคตข้างหน้าด้วยกัน โครงการในครั้งนี้คือการสำรวจภายใต้ธีม “Mapping from Home” ด้วยการมองออกไปจากบ้านและกว้างขึ้นด้วยการสำรวจจากจุดเล็กๆ อย่างบ้านไปยังจุดที่กว้างขึ้นอย่างถนน พื้นที่แถวบ้าน ขยายไปเป็นเมืองและอาจจะไปยังสิ่งที่กว้างกว่านั้น และกลับมามองตัวตนของตัวเอง ว่าเชื่อมโยงกับพื้นที่ทางภูมิศาสตร์ และ บริบททางสังคมอย่างไร กระบวนการทำงานและผลผลิตจากการทำงานเหล่านี้ จะถูกนำมาแสดงทั้งในแกลเลอรี่ที่โตเกียว และบนแพลตฟอร์มเว็บไซต์

This online project is jointly organized by BIPAM and Tokyo Festival, under the Tokyo Festival Farm - “Lab” which is a platform for process-oriented collaborative research and development conducted with other people of different origins, values, and specialties as a step towards interdisciplinary and interregional professional activities. This year’s The City & The City announced an open call for participants in both Tokyo and Bangkok to exchange their research, rediscovering the city and sowing the seeds of future output. The project explores the theme of “Mapping from Home”. Leaving your home and broadening your horizons to take in the street, area, and city, how does your own identity connect to geographical and societal contexts? The process and results of investigating this question will be presented as an exhibition publicly in a gallery site in Tokyo and on a website platform.

อชิตพนธิ์ เป็นนักสร้างภาพยนตร์ที่ทำงานในหลากหลายพื้นที่และรูปแบบ ทั้งภาพยนตร์จัดฉายในที่มืด ภาพยนตร์เฉพาะพื้นที่ และ ศิลปะนิทรรศการ โดยผลงานทางภาพยนตร์บางส่วนที่ผ่านมามีการสร้างสรรค์งานหลายวิธีการ หลายผลงานได้รับคัดเลือกฉายในเทศกาลสากล เช่น ภาพยนตร์ขนาดสั้นเรื่องแรก “หลงรัก” ที่ได้รับคัดเลือกฉายในเทศกาลภาพยนตร์ Girona Film Festival ครั้งที่ 28" (2016) ประเทศสเปน และ เทศกาลหนังทดลอง BIDEODROMO 2016. FESTIVAL DE CINE Y VÍDEO EXPERIMENTAL ประเทศสเปน, ภาพยนตร์เรื่อง “แผลเก่า” (The Scar Of River) ร่วมฉายในสายรางวัล ปยุต เงากระจ่าง, 22 Thai Short Film & Video Festival (2018) นอกจากนี้ยังมีผลงานภาพยนตร์สั้นอีกมากมาย ทั้งยังมีภาพยนตร์ขนาดยาว “ปรัมปรากากี” ที่ฉายในโรงภาพยนตร์อิสระ และเทศกาลภาพยนตร์นานาชาติ BOGOTÁ EXPERIMENTAL FILM FESTIVAL 2020 ประเทศโคลอมเบีย
Achitaphon Piansukprasert (Film)
Achitaphon is a filmmaker whose work appears in diverse spaces and forms, ranging from site-specific film to video installation, which is the artist’s latest interest. His films were selected to show in international film festivals. His first film ‘Fall in Love’ was selected to show in The 28th Girona Film Festival, Spain and an experimental film festival BIDEODROMO 2016. FESTIVAL DE CINE Y VÍDEO EXPERIMENTAL in Spain as well. The following film ‘The Scar Of River’ was part of the screening event and nominated in Official Selection (incompetition), 22 Thai Short Film Festival in 2018 and his latest featured film “The Lady’s Tale” was selected to be a part in BOGOTÁEXPERIMENTALFILMFESTIVAL in 2020, Colombia.

Lana เกิดที่โตรอนโตในปี ค.ศ. 1989 ย้ายมาอาศัยอยู่ในประเทศญี่ปุ่นตั้งแต่ปี 2011 ปัจจุบัน กำลังศึกษาระดับปริญญาเอกสาขาการสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะนานาชาติ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปะโตเกียว ด้วยทุนจากกระทรวงศึกษาธิการ วัฒนธรรม กีฬา วิทยาศาสตร์และเทคโนโลยีแห่งประเทศญี่ปุ่น Lana มีส่วนร่วมในการพัฒนานิทรรศการและโปรแกรมการแลกเปลี่ยนระหว่างประเทศของศูนย์ศิลปะและวัฒนธรรม 3331 Arts Chiyoda และจบปริญญาโทสาขาพิพิธภัณฑ์ศึกษาจาก University of Toronto เมื่อปี 2019
ปัจจุบัน Lana กำลังศึกษาเรื่องประวัติศาสตร์และความทรงจำในชุมชนผ่านโปรเจคท์ศิลปะในท้องถิ่นญี่ปุ่น โดยพยายามค้นคว้าถึงกระบวนการและการตระหนักรับรู้ร่วมกันในสังคมว่า สิ่งเหล่านั้นถูกจัดเก็บ, นำเสนอ และเผยแพร่ออกมาอย่างไร ขณะเดียวกัน จากประสบการณ์การย้ายถิ่นฐานของครอบครัวหลายต่อหลายรุ่น ทำให้ Lana พยายามตั้งคำถามเกี่ยวกับการปรับความสัมพันธ์ให้เข้ากับพื้นที่ที่ย้ายเข้าไปใหม่ โดยตีความประเด็นดังกล่าวร่วมกับเปปเปอร์ สุนัขของเธอ ในโครงการนี้
Lana Tran
Born in Toronto in 1989, Lana has moved to Tokyo since 2011. She is currently enrolled in the doctoral program at the Graduate School of International Art Creation, Tokyo University of the Arts with a scholarship from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT). After developing an exhibition and an international exchange program at 3331 Arts Chiyoda, she received a master's degree in Museum Studies from the University of Toronto in 2019.
Currently, she is exploring the characteristics of the process and social definition of how to extract, archive, express and disseminate the history and memories contained in the city in Japan's regional art project. She’s also exploring ways to adjust the relationship with the place where she has moved to, from the multiple experiences of migration for generations in her family. In this project, she plans to work on this issue with her adopted dog, Pepper.
ลิลี ชู (LILY SHU)
LILY เกิดที่เมืองฮาร์บิน มณฑลเฮย์หลงเจียง สาธารณรัฐประชาชนจีน เธอสนใจเรื่องวรรณกรรมและดนตรีมาตั้งแต่เด็ก หลังสะสมประสบการณ์จากการศึกษาวิจัยสาขาประวัติศาสตร์และปรัชญาในประเทศญี่ปุ่นและประเทศอังกฤษ ลิลีเริ่มสร้างสรรค์ผลงานวิดีโอและรูปถ่ายเพื่อนำเสนอภาพของพื้นที่แห่งบทกวี
ผลงานของลิลีแฝงน้ำเสียงวิพากษ์วิจารณ์การเมืองทั้งในแง่มุมที่มองเห็นและมองไม่เห็น โดยพยายามค้นหารูปแบบของชั่วขณะเวลาและลักษณะของวัตถุอันเป็นลักษณะเฉพาะที่ปรากฏในสื่อภาพถ่าย ลิลีเติบโตขึ้นท่ามกลางสภาพแวดล้อมของวัฒนธรรมที่พัฒนาอย่างก้าวกระโดดภายใต้สังคมที่ถูกปิดกั้นในประเทศจีน การเผชิญหน้ากับสภาพแวดล้อมทางการเมืองที่เต็มไปด้วยการจับตามองและเซ็นเซอร์ผลักดันให้ลิลีสร้างผลงานจากความสนใจในประเด็นเรื่องร่างกาย, พฤติกรรมที่หล่อหลอมขึ้นในสภาวะเช่นนั้น, การดำรงอยู่ของปัจเจกบุคคล และความสัมพันธ์กับตัวตนต่างๆ รวมถึงอัตลักษณ์และพื้นที่ที่เกิดขึ้น
LILY SHU
Born in Harbin, Heilongjiang province, China. LILY SHU has been interested in literature and music since she was a child. After studying history and philosophy in Japan and the UK, LILY SHU began to create videos and photographic works, seeking visual expression in a poetic space.
Her work reveals a critique of visible and invisible politics, and a quest for the unique temporality and materiality of photography. Growing up while witnessing the rapid development of the insular cultural environment in China, LILY SHU is interested in the physicality and actions created beyond surveillance system and censorship. Doubting the way individuals should be, how each person is involved, and the issues of identity and space beyond that are the main themes of her creation.

ทัตซึกิ ซาโกะ (Tatsuki Sako)
ทัตซึกิ ซาโกะเกิดที่เมืองฮิโรชิมะ ในปีค.ศ. 1994 สร้างสรรค์ผลงานสื่อผสม อาทิ ประติมากรรม, ภาพเคลื่อนไหว, จิตรกรรม และแอนิเมชันจากความหมายและการดำรงอยู่ที่ผันผวนตลอดเวลา ผ่านการสังเกตสภาพแวดล้อมรอบตนเองในมุมมองที่หลากหลายโดยเน้นไปที่ประเด็นการตั้งคำถาม, พฤติกรรม, บันทึกหมายเหตุ และการตีความหมายอย่างไม่ถูกต้อง นอกจากนี้ ยังร่วมกับกลุ่ม “bokura to minna wa ikiteiru” (‘พวกเราและทุกคนล้วนมีชีวิตอยู่’) อัพเดตคอนเทนต์ในฐานะ Youtuber เพื่อตั้งคำถามพื้นฐานต่อประเด็นเรื่องความยั่งยืนและเหตุผลในการสร้างผลงานอย่างต่อเนื่อง
ทัตซึกิจบการศึกษาระดับปริญญาโทสาขาศิลปะและการออกแบบ เอกประติมากรรม มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปะมุซาชิโนะ เมื่อปีค.ศ. 2020 มีผลงานนิทรรศการเดี่ยวและกลุ่มที่ผ่านมา ได้แก่ “kohi nomi ni ikou ya (ไปดื่มกาแฟกันไหม)” (2019), “MATSUDO “QOL” AWARD”(2020), “bokura to minna wa ikiteiru 10 ～ buta no tabi tomo iikirenai ～ (พวกเราและทุกคนล้วนมีชีวิตอยู่ 10 ～ จะบอกว่านี่คือการเดินทางของหมู ก็ไม่เชิง ～)” (2020) เป็นต้น
Tatsuki Sako
Born in Hiroshima City, Hiroshima Prefecture in 1994. Tatsuki creates mixed media works using object, video, painting, and animation, expressing the meaning and existence that constantly fluctuates. Through multi-view observations of the surrounding environment, he is interested in themes of questionings, habits, memorandums and misinterpretation. He is also a member of "bokura to minna wa ikiteiru (We and everyone are alive)", a Youtuber collective asking fundamental questions about sustainability and reasons for continuing their creation works.
Tatsuki completed a sculpture course from Graduate School of Art and Design, Musashino Art University in 2020. His recent activities include "kohi nomi ni ikou ya (Let's go for a coffee)" (2019), "MATSUDO" QOL "AWARD" (2020), bokura to minna wa ikiteiru 10 ～ buta no tabi tomo iikirenai ～ (We and everyone are alive 10 ～ can't even say that is a pig trip～)" (2020) and so on.
ทิพย์สุดา รัยมธุรพงษ์ (ฟูลี่)
ฟูลี่ รัยมธุรพงษ์ เกิดเมื่อปี 2539 จบการศึกษาจากคณะมัณฑนศิลป์ สาขาออกแบบนิเทศศิลป์ มหาวิทยาลัยศิลปากร ปัจจุบันเป็นกราฟิกดีไซน์เนอร์ ที่อาศัยอยู่ในย่านสำโรง จังหวัดสมุทรปราการ ชอบบันทึกเรื่องราวที่เกิดขึ้นรอบๆตัว และนำเรื่องราวเหล่านั้น มาทดลองสร้างให้เกิดเป็น visual ขึ้นใหม่ ด้วยการทดลองระหว่างวิธีการต่างๆที่หลากหลาย อาทิ กราฟิก โปรแกรมคอมพิวเตอร์ ภาพถ่าย ภาพวาด และการเขียนบทความ
Thipsuda Raimaturapong (Fully)
Born in 1996, Thipsuda Raimaturapong (Fully) is currently living in Samrong sub-district, Samutprakarn province, Thailand. She is a freelance graphic designer. Her personal works are various visuals created from the stories that happen to her in daily life and experimentally put together as visuals by mixing various media (Graphic, Computer Program, Photo, Drawing, Article).
พิชชาภา หวังประเสริฐกุล (น้ำอุ่น)
พิชชาภาเกิดเมื่อปี พ.ศ. 2542 ที่กรุงเทพมหานคร จบการศึกษาจากคณะนิเทศศาสตร์ เอกโฆษณา โทจิตวิทยา จากจุฬาลงกรณ์มหาวิทยาลัย พิชชาภาใช้เวลาวัยเด็กไปกับการประกวดวาดรูปทั้งในและต่างประเทศ และใช้เวลานานกว่านั้นในการลืมสิ่งที่ได้เรียนรู้มาเพื่อที่จะสร้างงานศิลปะในรูปแบบของตัวเอง
พิชชาภาได้รู้จักกับ Performance Art ครั้งแรกเมื่ออายุ 19 ปี หลังจากถูกเลือกให้เป็นหนึ่งในทีม Facilitator งาน Abramović Method exhibition ในเทศกาลศิลปะนานาชาติ บางกอก อาร์ต เบียนนาเล่ ปี 2018 และเริ่มทำงาน Performance Art ตั้งแต่ปี 2020 โดยชิ้นงานมักจะเกี่ยวข้องกับการเมือง รวมถึงการตั้งคำถามถึงสถานะทางอำนาจ (Power Dynamics)
ปัจจุบันพิชชาภาทำงานเป็นกราฟิกดีไซน์เนอร์อิสระ นักออกแบบปกหนังสือและเป็นสมาชิกของกลุ่ม Spring Movement
Pitchapa Wangprasertkul (Nam-Oon)
Born in Bangkok, 1999, Pitchapa graduated from The Faculty of Communication Arts, Chulalongkorn University (Majoring in advertising, minoring in psychology) Pitchapa has been spending most of the time of her childhood in making arts for both national and international art contests and spent longer time to forget what she had learned in order to create her own style of art. She was introduced to Performance Art when she was 19 and selected to be one of the facilitators in the Abramovic Method Exhibition in the Bangkok Art Biennale 2021 and started to create her own Performance Arts in 2020. Most of her works focus on the political issues and the questions toward Power Dynamics. She is currently working as a freelance graphic designer, book cover designer and a member of Spring Movement, a student collective advocating for democracy in Thailand.

โตเกียวเฟสติวัล เป็นเทศกาลศิลปะหลากหลายสาขาเกิดขึ้นในเมืองโตเกียว บริเวณย่านอิเคะบุคุโระ เป็นประจำทุกๆ ฤดูใบไม้ร่วงของปี ที่มุ่งหมายจะเชื่อมต่อกับนานาชาติผ่านความเฟื่องฟูและหลากหลายของงานศิลปะในโตเกียว นอกจากการนำเสนอผลงานที่หลากหลายเพื่อให้ผู้ชมได้เห็นสเน่ห์ของศิลปะในโตเกียวในรูปแบบที่เข้าใจง่ายแล้ว โตเกียวเฟสติวัลยังตั้งใจจะพัฒนาขีดความสามารถในการสร้างสรรค์งานศิลปะของเมืองโตเกียวอีกด้วย ในระยะยาว โตเกียวยังตั้งใจที่จะเชื่อมโยงศิลปะกับการแก้ปัญหาสังคม การพัฒนาบุคลากร การพัฒนาพื้นที่เมือง และ การก้าวไปสู่ความเป็นสากลมากขึ้นอีกด้วย
Tokyo Festival is a comprehensive urban arts festival held every fall around Tokyo’s Ikebukuro area which aims to connect with the world through Tokyo’s rich and diverse arts and culture scene. While showcasing the appeal of Tokyo’s arts and culture in an easy-to-understand manner, at the same time the festival aims to enhance Tokyo’s own creative capabilities. In the mid-to-long term, we will continue to work on resolving social issues, developing human resources, developing urban areas, and tackling globalization.
