UNCOMMON GROUND
"Welcome back on ground. Feel your feet and the air. Look around at the people once again in the eyes. Do you still know this place?"
The anticipation of having us all in Bangkok again is indescribable. We look forward to welcoming you, but we have nothing to expect. The grounds we used to know have changed their faces. The world is speeding up to return to normal, but something inside has been shaken, altered. For better or for worse, we are waiting to find out with you.
Let’s start on the ground. We will walk the streets, and you put the Bangkok puzzle together in your own way. In theaters we enter the spaces othered, reimagined, and undefined - taking history back a step and up a notch, and fusing senses and perceptions in order to unlearn and rediscover. We return together, meeting and receiving as if we have never been here before. Forget the common and defamiliarize. The world is a strange place and let’s not pretend that it isn’t.
The sure thing is it’s most likely going to be hot here in late March. Dress light, and see you soon in 2023.

มองตาคนที่อยู่รอบๆ ตัวกันอีกสักที เรายังรู้จักที่นี่ดีอยู่หรือไม่
เราตั้งตาการกลับมารวมตัวกันที่กรุงเทพอีกครั้งด้วยความรู้สึกที่บรรยายได้ไม่ค่อยถูกนัก เรารอต้อนรับทุกคน แต่เราไม่รู้เลยว่าอะไรบ้างรอเราอยู่ หน้าตาของที่ที่เราเคยเหยียบยืนมันเปลี่ยนไป โลกหมุนตัวเร็วเพื่อกลับสู่ความปกติ แต่บางอย่างข้างในสั่นคลอนและผันแปร แล้วโลกที่หมุนไปแล้วนี้จะออกมาเป็นหัวหรือท้าย เราก็รอที่จะค้นพบไปพร้อมกันกับทุกๆ คน
เราเลยอยากชวนคุณเริ่มตั้งต้นใหม่ด้วยเท้า บนพื้น เราจะพาคุณเดินถนน พบเจอบางมุมของกรุงเทพ แล้วให้คุณได้ปะติดปะต่อสร้างจิ๊กซอว์ของเมืองนี้ในเวอร์ชั่นของตัวเอง ในโรงละคร เราจะเข้าสู่พื้นที่ของจินตนาการ(ความเป็น)อื่นที่ยังไร้นิยาม บ้างหันหลังมองประวัติศาสตร์ บ้างปรับสีให้ฉูดฉาดขึ้นอีกเบอร์ บ้างจับเอาผัสสะผสมปนเปให้เราต้องถามตัวเองว่าเคยเรียกอะไรว่าอย่างไรและทำไม เราจะกลับมาเจอกันอีกครั้ง ทิ้งความพยายามคุ้นชินหรือการหาสามัญอันใดในโลกแสนประหลาดใบนี้ และรับรู้กันใหม่ราวกับไม่เคยคุ้นการพบปะนี้มาก่อน
สิ่งเดียวที่แน่นอนก็คือปลายมีนาคมอากาศจะร้อน เตรียมเสื้อผ้าให้ดี แล้วพบกันปี 2566 ค่ะ
