This performance was created by students of Burapha University and garnered praise from critics and audiences. It is being brought back to the stage as part of BIPAM 2019.
The show works with people with visual impairment, devised through experimental creative processes and tools such as plasticine, drawings, movements based on themes like ghosts in blind children's imagination. The results of the devising process have been developed into an intriguing contemporary dance piece.

About Showcase
“Women” is a poem by Suheir Hammad about war, women, power, and peace that has been adapted into a performance. It portrays the cruelty that war which affects women. Although not as directly involved as, say, the soldiers, women are equally painfully affected, if not more. There is no true victory in war.
This performance was a part of Sliding Elbow Studio’s “Project GradeX” - an experimental platform for university students to create works in a real-world environment - and ran for 10 shows in conjunction with participants from three other universities.
The show was been praised for how the performance space was used and made more than a rectangular room, it being relatable to other works and stories, and the interesting style of presentation. The points that has been improved upon are the potential of the two performers, as well as the director’s attitude towards the topic which has already been discussed extensively in past works.
About the moderator
Jirakit Soonthronlarpyod
graduated with a Bachelors in Architecture from the Faculty of Architecture, Chulalongkorn University. He is an art director, set designer and graphic designer for stage productions, and one of the founders of Sliding Elbow Studio theatre. He also works a freelance actor and model.

Women เป็นบทกวีของ Suheir Hammad กล่าวถึง สงคราม สตรีเพศ อำนาจ สันติภาพ หลิวมีความสนใจจึงนำมาเรียบเรียงแล้วสร้างเป็นการแสดง การแสดงพูดถึงความโหดร้ายของสงครามที่ส่งผลกระทบต่อผู้หญิง ถึงจะเป็นคนที่ไม่ได้เกี่ยวข้องอย่างตรงไปตรงมาอย่างทหาร แต่ก็ได้รับ
ผลกระทบ และความเจ็บปวดแทบจะมากกว่าด้วยซ้ำ ซึ่งสงครามไม่เคยให้ชัยชนะกับใครอย่างแท้จริง
เคยจัดแสดงมาแล้วที่โครงการ project grade x ของ sliding elbow studio จำนวน 10 รอบร่วมกับเพื่อนๆ อีกสามมหาวิทยาลัย ซึ่งเป็นพื้นที่ทดลองให้นักศึกษาได้ออกมาทำงานในพื้นที่จริง เสียงตอบรับมีทั้งคนที่ชื่นชอบ กล่าวว่าใช้พื้นที่ในการแสดงได้ดี ทำให้ไปไกลยิ่งกว่าห้องสี่เหลี่ยม ทำให้สามารถเชื่อมโยงถึงหนังสือเรื่องอื่นๆที่ได้อ่านผ่านๆ มา การนำเสนอน่าสนใจและกล่าวถึงข้อควรปรับปรุง คือการพัฒนาศักยภาพทางการแสดง รวมไปถึงทัศนคติของผู้กำกับเองที่ต่อต่องานด้วยเป็นประเด็นที่มีนักละครได้นำเสนอไปมากแล้วในช่วงยุคสมัยก่อน ซึ่งเป็นสิ่งที่หลิวและนักแสดงก็ได้รับฟังและนำมาพัฒนาตัวเองในการแสดงครั้งนี้ที่จะถึงด้วย
